• The number of activity certificate which is given as online by ICOC in pandemic period, increased as 46,5 in a hundred percent in the same term of the year when it is compared with the last year numbers.

The companies in Istanbul, have applied to Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ICOC) for 105 thousand 888 activity certificates, 326 thousand 20 foreign trade certificates including certificate of origin and A.TR movement certificate, 105 thousand 888 activity certificates, 21 thousand 726 Turkish Trade Registry Gazette Copies and 1.871 engineering vehicle registrations at the time when the first Covid-19 case has been seen on between 11th of March and 21st of May in Turkey.

According to information about the applications of ICOC member firms prepared by AA reporter, companies in Istanbul did not have a break on the applications for “commercial paper.

The number of capacity reports demanded by the producing companies, reached to 768 and at the same term, the establishment of 4 thousand 917 new companies was completed. The capital of 548 new companies having foreign partners reached to 354 million TL.

ICOC President Şekib Avdagiç talked about the issue to AA reporter, and said that “Turkish business world did not give in the pandemic fear, it prefered to fight with it. The first numbers indicated us that we gained the  best power to muddle through if we did not overcome by languor.”

Avdagiç expressed that “There are  serious restrictive effects of Coronavirus on the operations. As ICOC we can say we really worked hard in pandemic period with our services which we presented to our members although its restrictive effets.  The instensity of the firm applications for the commercial papers has indicated that these firms work for some pioneer activities even in the period of Covid-19.”

Avdagiç mentioned that the calls and precautions of the government and ICOC bacame effective not to stop producing activities totally.

Avdagiç expressed the number of online activity certificates taken by the firms in between 11th of March and 21st of May, increased as 46,5 in a hundred percent in the same term of the year when it is compared with the last year, evaluated like that “our members with taking the most of services fastly and easily on the internet saw the ICOC’s  investment fertiliy on its online services which were improved before Covid-19.”
